BMW presented sportier BMW X2 M35i

BMW presented another surprise to its fans by presenting a hybrid version of the BMW X5,: the X2 has a top version of the M Performance, called the BMW X2 M35i.

The flagship representative of the X2 celebrates the premiere of the most powerful four-cylinder engine M Performance, 2.0 TwinPower Turbo. Together with the upgraded cooling system, the gasoline engine produces 306 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 Nm. The X2 M35i comes as standard with intelligent four-wheel drive technology xDrive in conjunction with the 8-speed Steptronic transmission including Launch Control. The automatic transmission features specific M Performance tuning.

In addition to a more powerful engine, the new crossover has also gone through a number of other upgrades that make it worthy of the M Performance line-up. For example, the BMW X2 M35i features, in addition to a powerful engine, also a M Sport suspension system that has been specifically tuned and adapted to match the car’s sporty character. 19-inch M Sport light alloy wheels in 715M styling (optional: 20-inch M Sport light alloy wheels in 721M styling and in Cerium Grey bicolor) impressively round off the exterior design features.

From the design point of view, the M35i already has a M Sport Package with Cerium Gray exterior appearance and a double branch pipe for the sports exhaust system. And if you feel that the standard 19-inch wheels are too small for you, BMW will gladly offer optional 20-inch wheels with a two-tone finish. The standard crossover also includes fully LED lights and fog lights, and there’s also a new rear M spoiler.

Like the exterior of the X2 M35i, the SUV cabin is based on the M Sport Package and can be equipped with optional M sports seats with improved lateral support for front passengers. They can be ordered in one of three available designs and come with matching M straps. The M Sport steering wheel in leather with paddle lobes is another nice addition for the new BMW.

BMW says that the production of the X2 M35i will start in November, but assembly of cars for the European market will not begin until March next year.
