Mercedes special Edition 1 version for the A-Class sedan
Every time Mercedes-Benz launches a new model, the company marks this event with the Edition 1. It will be the same with the global version of the A-Class (V177) sedan that has been developed since September 3 this year by a similar special series.
In domestic market Germany, the more sophisticated take on Mercedes’ smallest sedan commands a hefty €7,021 premium. You get more than just these obvious visual tweaks as the Edition 1 packs a more generous array of standard kit. It comes with the LED High Performance headlights, 64-color LED ambient lighting, multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel, and sports seats benefiting from adjustable head restraints.
Then there are the copper accents, noticeable on the 19-inch alloy wheels as well as on the pins of the glitzy “diamond” front grille.
In the interior of the sedan A-Class Edition 1, Mercedes installed sports seats with adjustable headrests, upholstered with artificial leather Artico and Dinamica cloth and contrasting seams of copper shade. Similar seams can be found on the top of the front panel, the center armrest and door cards. The Edition 1 also has a multipurpose sports steering wheel in leather Nappa, an aluminum strip on the forward panel and doors with the name of special series and light-emitting diode atmospheric illumination with 64 variants of colors. Rounding off the tweaks are the velour floor mats with copper piping.
Edition 1 will be assembled within 12 months and such performance will be available for the A-Class Sedan with all engines. The first cars will be sent to customers in early 2019.
